Fiber Work Done to the Decibel
Brody Sargent Fiber Solutions LLC offers a complete fiber optic and structured cabling service line, from the street to the switch and into every room. Whether you need a single drop or a full outside plant, we plan, install, splice, and certify the entire light path so that the network you run on today keeps running for a decade.
Fiber-to-the-Home Installation
Last-mile fiber changes everything for a home. We run the drop from the serving terminal to your property line, then carry the light all the way to a wall-mounted ONT and beyond if you want it distributed to your study, your office, or your family room. We handle ground boring, conduit, aerial lash, and the neat internal routing that keeps your walls clean.
Every FTTH install we complete comes with a labeled termination point, coil storage for slack, and a writing of the measured loss before we close the job. We care about the last inch because that is the inch your router actually uses.
Residential Drop
Typical drop termination loss measured at the wall plate on a clean single splice.
Business Network Cabling
An office runs on the quality of its backbone. We design and install structured cabling systems that carry power, data, and voice reliably across floors and buildings. Our teams terminate fiber risers in the telecommunication closet, dress patch panels, and lay horizontal copper runs that are tested and labeled to match your network map.
We believe a cabling plant should be boring: no hidden failures, no mystery ports, no ceiling fires waiting to happen. You get a documented, color-coded, every-path-tested plant that your IT staff can actually rely on for years without a single truck roll back to us.
Enterprise Backbone
Backbone links terminated in full duplex, certified for carrier-grade speeds.
Splicing and Termination
Splicing is the heart of our craft. Using fusion splicers with active core alignment, we join fiber ends with losses well under one tenth of a decibel, protect each joint in a heat-shrink sleeve, and store the finished loops in a splice tray that respects the minimum bend radius. No cable company, no utility, and no contractor we have worked for has ever pulled one of our splices.
We also terminate pigtails, connectors, and MPO arrays, and we clean every ferrule with proper tools and microscopes before it goes into service. Dirty or damaged connectors are the quiet killers of network speed, and we eliminate them before they become your problem.
Fusion Joint
Average measured loss on a clean fusion splice, verified with an OTDR.
OSP Trenching and Aerial Runs
Outside plant work carries the most risk and rewards the most care. We trench with exact depth control, use directional boring where surface disturbance is not allowed, and lash aerial cable to existing strand with the tension settings that survive high wind and Utah ice. Conduit, innerduct, pull boxes, and grounding are all installed to the governing code.
Our OSP crews record the full placement route, mark every splice point, and leave the site clean and safe. When your plant is disturbed by a storm or an excavator, you will be able to find every hand hole, every trace, and every decision we made in the field.
Aerial / Buried
Minimum burial depth with warning tape, per regional utility standard.
Testing and OTDR Certification
We never close a job without proof. Every span we install is tested with a calibrated optical time-domain reflectometer, and the trace is reviewed span by span for micro-bends, bad connectors, and any point where the loss climbs above spec. We also run a light meter end to end so you have a total loss figure you can hand to your provider.
You receive a written certification for every route: the measured loss, the connector count, the splice locations, and our sign-off that the plant is clean. That document is your protection and your peace of mind when a future fault is ever suspected.
Certified Route
Every completed span is OTDR-tested and documented before handover.
Repair and Emergency Restoration
When the light goes out, speed matters. Our team carries a full splice trailer stocked with splicers, OTDRs, cable, and enclosures so we can restore service in hours, not days. We trace the fault, dig it up if it is buried, splice it in, and re-certify the whole span before we leave the site.
We also handle planned maintenance: cleaning connectors that have drifted out of spec, reseating module optics, swapping worn adapters, and refreshing the labels that let your team find the problem fast the next time. Downtime is a cost you do not have to carry.
Emergency Response
Typical on-site response window for covered restoration agreements in our region.
